idle minds...

I have decided that it is utterly futile to attempt to manage time. Time is far too tricky to manage. Besides, it'll drive a person crazy. Especially if said person happens to be me. So then...

This decision comes on the heels of my return to this Blog, seeing that it has been nearly a week since I last posted. If you read that first post of the year, you'll know why this little discovery annoyed me. So much for consistency. Rather than bonking myself over the head for not having stuck to my guns, I'm going to change the rules and get on with it. Because, in the end, the best thing one can say to broken promises is: So what?!

Moving on...

The Big Game is over. Typically there is a great depression that settles over me when football season is over. Except that I found another sport that is equally fun for me to watch....Tennis season began last month which means that I won't go into withdrawals for lack of football. Praise Allah. Sadly though, tennis has far too many weeks in between Majors, which means that unless I want to fork out another bundle of dollars to upgrade my Dish programming, I'll be without until The French Open (in May). YIKES! What is a girl to do?

This girl is going to use her Sundays to nourish herself, visit with her family, take up a new hobby (I've ALWAYS wanted to draw!), and finish that book she's been threatening to write. It's been FOUR YEARS since that last one...and it's high time that next one gets done. Then again...

Maybe Sundays could be used to sleep. Sleep and eat and then sleep some more.

Or...

Maybe I could just not assign anything to Sundays.

Gee. What a concept.

Now that I've managed to say nothing in all this space, I suppose now would be a good time to bid you farewell and go do something useful.

Aren't you glad you stopped by?

I am glad I stopped by because I'm glad to know we share a common problem. I don't know if it's better to leave Sundays (any day) unassigned so that when that something doesn't get done I don't feel bad or to assign something so that by some rare chance I'll be motivated to do that something and I'll know which day to do it on. Alas, I think I spend more time deciding than doing!

Now as for you .... I say write that book!
