cut 'em loose

Sometimes the best thing to do is just clean up, clean out, and move on. De-cluttering and all that jazz. It doesn't even have to be limited to 'things'. It can be stuff like all the 'extra' stuff you assign to yourself that really gets in the way of true productivity/creativity. Take for example the whole blog thing.

For a while I had 4 of 'em. FOUR. What in the world was I thinking? Well, one was supposed to be for my usual rantings (that would be this one), another for my 'writer' (that was just after I published Whispers), another was for an idea I had to raise money to help folks with their veterinary bills and the last one was just for fun...as in a means for me to stretch a bit and write outside my comfort zone. Turns out it was all just a bit too much. What it ended up doing was the exact opposite of my intention:

it paralyzed me.

Bummer.

So, after a few tweaks and absences and a few more tweaks, I finally decided to cut 2 of them loose. Yep. Deleted those suckers with one simple click. Gone. C-ya. Gotta go. And you know something? It feels really good. I can hear the Muse as I type....breathing a bit, deep sigh of relief. AHHHHHHHHHHHHH..... now we're cookin'.

It takes real courage to delete entire blogs--especially because I know what a fabulous writer you are and they were filled with both your witty and your wise thoughts. However, when it all gets to be too much, sometimes it's better to take a deep breath and trim away. The older I get, the more simple I want life to be. And I don't think I'm the Lone Ranger in that regard.
So, my friend, I'll be visiting this lovely place on blogspot.com as often as I can and partake of your wisdom and your truth. After all, I can use all the joy I can get and jozizzachoice, right?!

Ditto what Eileen said...but, having copied Eileen, must I now delete three of MY blogs? Nah. Each to his own.

Hugs and Kudos
