Seeds. Thoughts. Lives.

I have a dear friend who is one of those lovely women who wants very much to help the world. Not just her world. The whole world. All the people and the critters and the trees and the oceans and....well, the whole world. And she doesn't merely TALK about it either. She actually walks her talk.

Imagine that.

Anyway, I called her the other day and got her answering machine for the first time in a long while. At the very end of her message she says:

"I have a question for you: what is the very best thing you could do for YOURSELF today?"

Nice.

This got me to thinking about a whole bucket of things. Like how often do I pose that question to myself...and actually DO that 'best thing'? I also got to thinking how powerful just a simple question can be. With her one question, she is effectively changing every person who calls her...in some measure or another. And then there's the whole concept of actually doing whatever that 'best thing for yourself' happens to be. Because if we were to make this a daily practice, how much would it impact us...and ripple outward to the rest of the planet? Is it possible to start in your own back yard with your own little garden...and feed the whole world?

You bet it is. Kinda like that bible story where J.C. feeds the masses from that one little basket of food. Same thing. {Yea. I know it's a story...but that's what stories are for. To lend a message. Yes?} One loaf of bread to feed thousands of people. One seed to grow thousands of thoughts. Thoughts that can transform people and lives and worlds. Seeds. Thoughts. Lives.

Isn't it marvelous?
