Just say NO!

Funny how some folks get all in a tizzy when they don't get what they think the world owes 'em. Doncha find that funny? They get all indignant and righteous and downright nasty. And it is, of course, YOUR fault. All on account of your not saying 'yes' to some request or favor. Yep. Funny stuff indeed.

What's even funnier is how these very people not only expect everyone to say 'yes' to any and all requests, they also seem to have some sort of blockage; the "thank you" blockage. Like saying those words would kill 'em. Like showing any semblance of gratitude or appreciation would be some deadly bolt of lightning. Like they don't have to say 'thank you' because the whole freakin' world owes 'em everything.

Funny, huh?
Yea. Not so much.

Thought I'd give this some mention in the event that you have someone like this in your world. Because if you do, it's quite likely that their inability to appreciate your generosity is having some ill-affects on you. Not that you deserve such nonsense; it's likely you do not. But if you're in any way a "People-Pleaser", that kinda crap is going to make you feel like....well...CRAP. And why do we do this? Why do we subject ourselves to feelings of "less-than" when, in fact, it is the very person who is unable to appreciate who oughta be feelin' like crap. Hmmmmm. Quite the conundrum, wouldn't ya say?

So here's the deal:

Next time that person asks you for anything...I don't care if it's itty-bitty or big-giant....next time they ask for some 'favor', take a moment, take a breath, and JUST SAY NO.

Then watch what happens next.

Miracles happen all the time.

You might just be pleasantly surprised at the results of your standing up for YOU.

Just sayin'.
