Ohhhh...the Joy of Contrast!

Isn't it funny how some people can only see the "negative"...even when there's a whole lot more "positive" going on? Isn't it just a hoot how sometimes, no matter what your intentions, there's that "one" who will always look at it from the icky side of the road?

I find this to be both amusing and mystifying. It's not like I go 'round looking for that kinda thang. But sometimes, no matter how joyful I am, somebody will show up and toss a turd my way, outta nowhere. It's just WEIRD.

But then I remember:

The contrast is what shows us clarity. If everything were just laid at our feet, it'd be a pretty boring ride. It's much more fun to have the contrast to really enjoy the whole adventure, wouldn't ya say? Like when you walk up to the buffet and there are nine zillion things to choose from. Just because there's stuff on that buffet that isn't to your liking doesn't make it any less appetizing, right? You don't walk up and down the line of trays telling the attendant to remove the stuff you don't want to eat, do you? Of course you don't. You just pass that stuff by and pick out the stuff you DO like. Kind of the nature of buffets.

So then, it's pretty much the same thing when it comes to Life. There's probably a whole bunch of stuff that isn't to your liking. But don't those things help you define further what you DO want? Doesn't that comparing of "stuff" help you to hone your desire? And if this is your truth, do you find it easy to just walk by the stuff you don't want in your world? Or do you push against it...hollerin' "NO! NO! NO! THAT'S NOT WHAT I WANT!!!"???

Guess what I'm trying to say is, no matter what's going on in your world, the contrast is there to serve you. For those who are looking for stuff to push against, you can be sure you'll find it. For those who are simply wanting to groove on the adventure of it all, well then...you already know all this. You already know you don't have to pitch a fit when something you don't want shows up in your experience. You already know that those "unwanteds" are there to help you sift through ALLLLL the stuff...and make the choices that please you.

Right?

Good.

Now then....what would you like to choose from today?

Have fun! Choices abound!!!

I watched a video yesterday about the same sort of thing, it was about people posting comments complaining about how the person in said video wasn't playing Call of Duty according to the game objectives, instead choosing to show off.

Anyways, I quite enjoy the subjects you talk about and was wondering if you'd mind if i posted a link to your blog on mine?

Thanks in advance :)
