illusions

The following quote, written by the Marvelous Mike Dooley ("Notes From The Universe") came to me recently...and it got me to thinking....

"Here's the thing.... admission into time and space requires a belief in limits: a belief that both time and space are real; that you can therefore have and have-not; that love can be lost or found; and that you are what your physical senses show you and no more.
These illusions immediately lead you to believe that you are incomplete. Yet, far from indicating you are flawed, they reveal your brilliance by filling you with desire, igniting your emotions, fueling your passions, and catapulting you out into the world where journeys are begun, connections are made, and dreams come true... only to be replaced by new dreams as your divine sense of incompleteness persists.
This is by design. Feeling incomplete does not make you so. It's how legends are born, giants are made, and history is written. It's why you're here. To ever so briefly escape your true identity as you live with an unquenchable thirst that will lead into adventures of grandeur, discovery, and a realization that love is all there is.
Your trusty accomplice,
~~~The Universe
The truth is, you are complete, you are where you should be, nothing has been missed, and I'll see you at the ball."
Now, here's the thing about all this...
When we decide that being "incomplete" is a gift...that it's not about "missing something", but rather, about expansion...well....that really changes your perspective, huh? So, once again, it's all about the way we look at things. It's about taking every single moment, whether it's what you 'want' or what you don't want...and finding the treasure within. Even if it's a dis-ease...or a giant pain-in-the-butt...it's there to assist in your expansion. No thing that comes forward is there to punish, test or make your Life miserable. It's all for you to feed the whispers of your Soul. When ya look at things from this place...from the expansion place....then you get to grin your way through whatever it is. The contrast is there to help you decide what you do want. In other words, how would you know that you prefer chocolate ice cream if you never taste vanilla? How would you know that you prefer funny if you never taste sad? How would you know your preferences at all if you have no comparisons?
Life is full of illusions. We rely so heavily on what we "see" with our human eyes, without taking the time to remember that we have other 'senses' with which we may "see" our world. But the cool thing is....when we do remember how much more we have to work with, everything changes. EVERYTHING.
So, on this Fabulous Friday the 13th (yeeeeeeehawwwwww!)...perhaps you'll adjust your vision a bit to include the other side. Do you think it's an "unlucky" day or a magickally powerful one? Me? I have always had the very best surprises on "Friday the 13th"...so I'm guessing it's about what I expect.
I love Mike Dooley too! He's a gas, and a great inspirational leader.
This post is a doozie. You might have your finger on the final frontier here.
I think grasping that limitless-ness is the last, greatest hurdle for humankind to leap over.
There's something about that frontal lobe of ours that wants to "this vs. that" everything to a pulp.
Yammering here. Anyhoo - thanks for this post and for continually reminding us of the choices always available to us.
